It was reported as the light hearted animal related story that usually concludes the 6 o’clock news, but this was no cliché cat up a tree, or urban badger gets a PHD drivel that we are accustomed to as we finish our dinner. Everyone and his dog (robot or otherwise) is aware that David Tennants days as The Time Lord are numbered; paving the way for the floppy haired Matt Smith to take the keys the T.A.R.D.I.S and carry on the duties as the 11th incarnation of The Doctor next year. The Waters Of Mars is the last in the series of one hour specials before the Christmas and New Years day climax that sees Tennant exit the show as the iconic Time Traveller. The Waters Of Mars excels in not only telling a interesting Doctor Who story, but drastically changes the way the audience sees the 10th Doctor. Making the wait till his inevitable exit all the more frustrating.

Pixelated Ass and Giant Scary Thing... Check.
Role playing shooter (RPS for short) is the unnatural offspring formed by splicing the DNA of an FPS and RPG together. It is probably one of the greatest game genres ever to step foot on this big green and blue planet! Several games have come close to being a fully blown RPS, for example Fallout 3, yet it’s shooting mechanism, outside of V.A.T.S, was piss poor and can’t really be classed as FPS style gun handling. The S.T.A.L.K.E.R series has also come oh so near with it’s brilliant looting system and brilliant storyline. Yet it lacked any sort of leveling system which would have blown my mind. Borderlands, however, really defines what it is to be an RPS.
