Sony Pictures have recently announced that director Sam Raimi will not be returning to work on the Spider-Man movie franchise along with actor Tobey Maguire. Instead Sony intend to completely reboot the character in 2012. With the departure of Raimi, a proposed “reboot” (sigh), and a Broadway musical with music written by Bono and The Edge (ffs) bright does the web-slingers future look? As bright as his iconic and probably uncomfortable costume, or as bleak as Tobey Maguire’s expressionless face?

Terminator Salvation... It's good! Honest!
Coming from a boy who grew up with TERMINATOR 2 and considers it a top contender for best sequel ever made (ALIENS being the other contender) I’ve become somewhat of a terminator snob. I wouldn’t quite say that TERMINATOR SALVATION is a remarkable sequel but it is definitely superior to TERMINATOR 3. But then again, that’s not saying much. The 3rd installment was rife with narrative, and continuity errors which just boiled my brain.
